State of PHCS and its future

It's been a while since I wrote about E-sports due to some personal stuffs I have to take care off. We (Play on WASD) have been on a hiatus for quite some time and there's no denying about it. Right after TESL (Tarlac Electronic Sports League), most of us took a break or have other priorities. But I'm glad that new players came along which gives more tournaments keeping the scene alive.

Personally, I believe that the scene will still grow as teams are getting more serious. And with GAB (Game and Amusement Board) welcoming E-Sports, the future ahead of us is bright.

Mineski, who made it on top ten of CSGOASIA.COM's rankings is a big step for us. There are also notable teams to mention like Fractals, Audacity, Rekt ESports, IPT, Kingsmen, and Rampage who's grinding hard to take Mineski's throne. Also, TNC Pro Team acquired their own roster with Ryan 'Babyboy' Crisostomo leading the pack. It's exciting to see if the team will live up to the hype.

But I'm really hoping that teams from Visayas and Mindanao will share the same spotlight. We know that there are teams capable of going head to head with some of Manila's top teams. They just need exposure and experience. Just like how Gaon Gaming secured their top two finish last TESL.

Overall I'm happy with where the scene is going despite its own struggles, one day PH:CS will become great again especially that our favorite map, Dust2 got a makeover and is about to go live.
