Imperium Pro Team to Join SEA CS:GO Tournament on Home Soil

Filipino side Imperium Pro Team (IPT) is about to represent the Philippines in a regional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament this coming November 25, Saturday at the Glorietta Shopping Center in Makati.

The first placer is set to bring home $2,500 (~P125,000) in cold, hard cash along with peripherals provided by NVIDIA. Meanwhile, second and third placers will get $1,500 (~P75,000) and $500 (~P25,000), respectively, as well as hardware supplied by the tournament sponsors.

Other teams include Vietnam’s UTM, Indonesia’s nxL and Thailand’s Signature. The Thai team is notable for getting to the top 10 of the CSGO2ASIA rankings earlier this year.

IPT is currently ranked #2 in the latest edition of the WASD CS:GO ranking system, having just won the local finals of the said tournament as well as finishing strongly in other ones.

The latest iteration of the team is composed of Stephen "Getziimov" Doron, Raizo "RRRRR" Ichikawa, Gavariel "Ryjin" Lichauco, Joshua "JoshS" Santos, Ryan "Gab" Angciangco and Miguel Urbano.

GEXT is under the auspices of NVIDIA and Rumble Royale, a Filipino esports production company with strong roots in League of Legends.
